DESCRIPTION

Provision of training, specialising in children under 8 years of age, that enables participants to provide first aid at work, First aid is about resuscitation, pain relief, prevention of deterioration and guidance/ advice to people with specific symptoms.

PURPOSE OF THE SEMINAR

• To be able to identify possible dangers to the victim, himself and any bystanders.
• To be able to recognise the absence of normal breathing.
• Be able to maintain continuity of basic CPR with the correct ratio of chest compressions : rescue infusions.
• Be able to recognise when to start basic CPR without delay.
• Articulate the definition of cardiac arrest.
• To be able to assess for the degree of response of the victim.
• Be able to manage and maintain an open airway.
• Be able to judge and decide when to call for help.
• To be able to call for immediate pre-hospital care services (ambulance).
• Be able to check if the victim is responding.
• Be able to cooperate with any bystanders in the rescue attempt.
• Be able to administer first aid without hesitation.
• Be able to recognise and administer first aid in cases of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Drowning ,Unconscious patient
• Epilepsy Burns, Anaphylactic shock, Minor wounds and injuries, Asthma, Diabetes, Febrile convulsions, Concussion, Concussion, Nosebleeds, Resuscitation position.
